all about that round-table discussion

As required, a little reflection on setting up this Wix account: initially I struggled to find the right template and design - one that fit my needs but also communicated the right imagery, visual layout and personality for what I wanted to convey. The process actually happened over the course of several weeks as every few days, I would click over to the open tab on my web browser, scan through a few more possible templates, and then move on. Nothing like an impending deadline to force some inspiration! Once things really started to flow, the copy and content came pretty easily.

I feel fairly confident in my professional presence at this time. I've had an existing (small) presence in the nerdy corner of the web as a writer/blogger for a few years, and I've never had a Facebook or Twitter feed I wouldn't want my grandmother reading (um, because she is). In the last few years, as my personal and professional life have begun to blend as I discover more and more the kind of creative work I love to do, my social media postings have reflected that. I love great design, beauty, an inspired life, and goofy humor, and I think my online and in-person professional presence reflects that - although there is always room for improvement! I'm excited to continue to develop this.

At this stage, my only real questions or about the kind of feedback I'll receive from peer review, if any. Hoping for some constructive criticism!
